About us

Jacqui

I started my career working as a Animator in Film and TV after studying at the Guildford University of Film.

I then worked as a Graphic Designer running drawing offices for a large corporate company in London.

Then life started to call taking me to the Netherlands to study painting and to Spain to study life.
I find my inspiration from nature and the beauty of the skies.

I love teaching from showjumping and flying gliders to Jewellery Making and Art.
If you are just on the beginning of your journey of jewellery making Katie and myself are here to help you and have some fun on the way.

Katie

I wasn’t always crafty. With a background in event management, a pilot’s license and a passion for scuba diving I have settled into a more peaceful way of life here in Spain and got totally hooked by the magic of precious metal clay (but am also embarking on my paragliding license, so the skies are calling again).

Born in Oxford, England, I dreamt of seeing the world from a very young age and was lucky to spend my 20’s travelling and working in many different countries. Life did it’s thing and finally I found the best place in the whole world and am lucky enough to live here in Andalucia with my husband and ever increasing pack of dogs.

I live in nature (or the bath) and am always researching new ideas and developing my skills. My favourite piece is usually the one I am working on. I love spending time with my dogs and time in my workshop and hope you will join me at the bench one day.

Our Workshops

A few things you should know about our workshop.

We are based in San Enrique de Guadiaro, a small village in the province of Cadiz in Andalucia. We are based in the countryside (campo) but walking distance to the village and a short drive to the port of Sotogrande and beaches on the Costa del Sol.

It’s got a very high ceiling and big windows that we keep open as much as possible. If it’s too hot/cold/windy there is a/c. Everything is cleaned between workshops, including all tools.

The vibe is relaxed. No question is a silly question. The kettle is in the corner and mine’s an earl grey, thanks.

There is likely to be a dog or two wandering around so be sure to let us know if that is an issue before you come!
